#3 Lughnasadh Ritual Candle

Introducing our 2024 Original Lughnasadh Sabbat Candles!

Lughnasadh (pronounced loo-nas-ah or loo-nah-sah) or Lammas takes place on August 1st, it is known as the first harvest feast! The name “Lughnasadh” is derived from the Celtic sun god Lugh, whose name literally means “The Shining One”. Lugh was raised by the harvest goddess, her name was Tailtiu (pronounced almost like tale-chew). Tailtiu had the job of clearing all the fields in Ireland in order for the people to plant seeds for harvest. As she grew old this task became extremely difficult and exhausting. One year on the morning of August 1st, Tailtiu was so tired from her task that she collapsed and died. In the case of her passing she had requested there only be celebrations so Lugh decided to throw a great harvest feast in her honor, this is Lughnasadh.

The scent of this candle includes notes of apple, clove, cinnamon, lemongrass and patchouli.  

These candles are made in a vintage Avon Ruby Red Mug w/ Handle. The vessel holds approximately 6oz and burns for up to 40 hours. This candle is hand poured and locally made in Pennsylvania.

These candles come with guidelines/instructions on how to use to celebrate the holiday in your own candle burning ritual! 

Our crystals are ethically sourced and our herbs used are organic and homegrown when possible. The jars and lids are made in the USA.

Crystals Used: Mookaite, Aventurine, Peach Moonstone, Crazy Lace Agate chips 

Herbs/Oils Used: This candle is infused with natural essential oils and herbs, including cinnamon, chamomile, willow, barley, rose hips, straw flower, thyme, parsley, sandalwood, nutmeg, clove, lime, lemongrass, patchouli, orange, and cedarwood.

*YOU DO NOT NEED TO BURN THE CANDLE ALL AT ONCE*

Light your candle with emotion and intention. Please snuff out your candle, do not blow it out as it may offend certain deities. Set your intentions every single time before you relight the candle.
