Poppy Seed - Papaver Somniferum

Poppy seeds are widely used to attract love, fertility, luck and money when carried, either in a sachet or spell jar, or consumed. It has long been used as a sleep aid, a means of anti-anxiety and de-stressing. Poppy seeds have been used in “confusion magic”- you can sprinkle seeds around the outside of your home to cause confusion and disrupt spirits harboring ill will. It has often been used in death rituals, as they have long been a symbol for eternal sleep.
